2007-2008 Overseer: Louis Van Dyk - SS Geelong
Aug. 25, 1905 Nine Workers departed from London, UK on S.S. Geelong arriving at Cape Town, S.Africa on SS Geelong. They were the first Workers to that country. They were: Wilson Reid , (24) (age) Joe Kerr , (24) John Cavanagh (27), Alex Pearce (33), Wm. Irvine (42), Mary Moodie. (38), Barbara Baxter (24), Lily Reid (22) Martha Skerritt (22). Willis Propp became the Overseer of Alberta, Canada in 1983. Prior to that, he was the overseer of Saskatchewan for 8 years. He died Nov. 28, 2015 Alberta Overseers have been Willie Fullerton (1920s thru 1960s) - Stanley Watchorn - Harold Stewart - Willis Propp - Mark Huddle and Merlin Affleck, who is the current Overseer. - BC Sharp, Paul

Photo taken during WWI in Saskatchewan Canada, about 1917. Everyone in this picture was professing or closely associated. Because of their faith, they refused to bear arms to kill. Most had been locked up in the Regina SK jail together. During WWI there was no "consciencious objector" status in Canada. Eventually the were given non-combatant jobs.
