Aug. 25, 1905 Nine Workers departed from London, UK on S.S. Geelong arriving at Cape Town, S.Africa on SS Geelong. They were the first Workers to that country. They were: Wilson Reid , (24) (age) Joe Kerr , (24) John Cavanagh (27), Alex Pearce (33), Wm. Irvine (42), Mary Moodie. (38), Barbara Baxter (24), Lily Reid (22) Martha Skerritt (22).
