Adam Hutchison professed in Great Britain and entered the work in 1902.
He wrote Hymn Nos. 330, 237 and 199.
On October 18, 1905, Adam along with Francis Hodgins, Maggie McDougall and Joe Williamson, arrived in South Africa.
Later they went to Australia and New Zealand.

Finally, Adam went to India where he died from scarlet fever.
