First Conventions in Australia

*Victoria 1908 March: Northcote, the first Convention to be held in Australia,
was attended by 26 Workers from Australia and New Zealand.
Afterwards, at least four new Workers joined the Work,
including Sidney Maynard, Ethel Harrison, Flora Finch and Ada Cousins.

Subsequent Victorian Conventions were
held in Warrandyte 1911–1912; Clayton 1913–1915; Dandenong 1916–1974.

Tasmania 1909: Evandale 1909–1911; Springfield 1912–1913; Scottsdale 1914–1916.

South Australia 1909: Woodside at Mrs. Alf Harris's place; 1910–1926:
Wuttke's farm at Woodside (except for 1918–1920);
Islington at Vogts 1918; Bethel at Schmidts 1918–1920; Strathalbyn at Thrings 1919–1951

Queensland 1910: Mt. Gravatt 1910–1917: Coopers Plains 1918; Rochedale 1929.

Western Australia 1915: Between Radford's and Jacob's homes in Bassendean,
then known as West Guildford 1915–1916

*New South Wales 1908–1923:
Major Pinchin's, Chetwynd Road, Guildford (except for 1912 at Rooty Hill, Granny Marshalls);
Rodwells in Shadforth 1918; No Convention in 1919 due to flu.
In 1920, three Conventions held at Shadforth, Granville and Scone;
Pritchards in Guildford 1922–1964; Wattamondara in 1921; Dawsons at Dumaresque in 1923.
