Leo Stancliff was born on December 19, 1912 in Torrance, California, and died October 18, 2005 at the age of 93. Leo went into the ministry in 1933. He first went to the Philippine Islands on January 4, 1940, and was interned in the Los Baños internment camp during WW2. This drawing by Leo is the hut that the 4 interned Workers lived in during their internment. He spent several years in the Philippines, Guam and Ponape before returning to California and Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Talitha Stancliff of Bakersfield and his brother Wilfred, also of Bakersfield. He was survived by a brother Robert Stancliff of Stayton, Oregon; and a sister Laurena Escola and brothers Gerald Stancliff and John (Jack) Stancliff all of Bakersfield. http://ithascome.bravehost.com/Leo_Stancliff.html - McBirneys Store 2004
