Four stages of the life of William Irvine, Founder of the 2x2 sect.
He was excommunicated in 1914.
The four reasons most often provided for why Irvine was ousted are:
(1) He was guilty of womanizing or immorality;
(2) He became too proud and lifted up in himself
(3) He was preaching false doctrine; and
(4) He became mentally unbalanced.
Perhaps it was a combination of these reasons, or something entirely different.
