Roscrea, Mrs. Quinns Charity Shop This premise was formerly owned and traded as a saddlery shop bythe Fawcett family. Fawcett's main source of business was milling. They owned a large mill that was used for grinding corn to producing flour. RE: James Fawcett (1886–1958). He went in the work in 1904; he was a cousin of GeorgeWalker and wrote Hymn "Cease Not” He was not included in the latest Hymns Old and New edition (1987). It contained the phrase: "Cease Not to Worship the Father and Son, The Holy Spirit and these Three are One … my Saviour and my God” (Hymn No. 239, 1951 ed.). - Roscrea-Fawcett tombstone

Rossorry Parish Church of Ireland First services held in April 1840; first burial in 1842. Several Cooney and Carson family members are buried in the surrounding graveyard. Tombstone Inscription: COONEY In affectionate remembrance of William McEffer Cooney died 29th May 1887 aged 22 years. James Ernest Cooney died 11th June 1898 aged 24 years. Alfred Carson Cooney died 29th August 1909 aged 38 years. Emily Maria Cooney died 16th December 1917 aged 78 years.
